Holding measures only, for the minutes before an ambulance or a clinic takes over. Nothing here diagnoses or treats anything, and none of it replaces professional care.

Call 115 first

Emergency medical services answer on 115 anywhere in Iran. Say where you are on the island as precisely as you can — a hotel, a beach, a junction. Everything below is what to do while that call is being answered, not instead of it.

Heavy bleeding

Press firmly on the wound with a clean cloth and keep pressing. If blood soaks through, add another cloth on top rather than lifting the first. Raise the limb if it can be done without causing pain.

Unconscious but breathing

Roll them gently onto their side so the airway stays clear, and stay with them until help arrives. Do not put anything in their mouth.

Heat exhaustion

Move into shade or air conditioning, loosen clothing, and cool the skin with water. Sips of water if they are fully awake. Kish is hot for much of the year and this is the most common of these situations.

Burns and scalds

Cool under gently running water for twenty minutes. Remove rings or watches near the burn before it swells. Do not apply ice, oil, toothpaste or any household remedy.

Choking

If they can cough, let them cough. If they cannot breathe or make a sound, call 115 immediately and give firm blows between the shoulder blades with the heel of your hand.

Animal bite or scratch

Wash under running water with soap for several minutes, then get to a clinic the same day. This applies to stray cats and dogs as much as to anything else — a wound that looks minor is still treated urgently in Iran because of rabies risk.

A fall, or a suspected neck or back injury

Do not move them unless they are in immediate danger where they lie. Keep them still, keep them warm, and wait.

This platform has not yet surveyed the island’s medical services, so what follows is drawn from OpenStreetMap and has not been confirmed by us. Treat it as a starting point: ring ahead before travelling, and expect opening hours to be missing or out of date. As these are visited and verified they will move into the directory proper.
