About this place
The Prime Minister's Palace is one of the palaces built on Kish Island during the Pahlavi II era, designed and executed by the Mercury Company for the temporary residence of national officials. The building is located on the northeastern front of the island and is known as the designated accommodation for the head of the government delegation (Prime Minister). The building is single-story and harmonizes with the other structures of the complex; its design features arches formed of discontinuous broken lines - a symbol of contemporary Kish architecture - and designs inspired by Iranian architecture; part of the form is also derived from the Seljuk architecture of the historic city of Harireh and from vertical, horizontal, and perpendicular geometric lines (bases of triangles, squares, and rectangles). The building consists of two symmetrical wings organized around a central axis.
