Doing business in the free zone

The professional services a company needs to register, operate and grow inside the Kish Free Zone.

Nothing here is legal, tax or investment advice, and no regulation is restated. For anything with a legal consequence, use the Free Zone Organisation as the source.

Worth knowing

What a free zone changes

Kish is a free zone, and the rules that follow from that - registration, ownership, customs and tax - are set by the Free Zone Organisation rather than by this platform. Nothing here restates regulation: for anything with a legal consequence, go to the source, which is listed beside this page.

Who decides what

Three bodies matter and they are not interchangeable. The Free Zone Organisation sets the island’s commercial rules and runs the investment process. The Ports and Airports Development Company operates both gateways, so cargo, berths and air freight are its answer rather than the Organisation’s. This platform is neither: it is an independent record of what is on the island.

What this platform can actually tell you

Not the incentives - the operating picture, which is harder to find and is measured here rather than claimed. How many businesses of each kind trade on the island and where they are. What arrives and leaves, daily, from the airport board and the port’s sailings. What the weather and the sea do, against eighty years of record. For a decision about a place, that is the part usually missing.

What is deliberately not here

No incentive figures, no tax rates, no registration steps and no land prices. Each of those changes, each carries a legal or financial consequence if read out of date, and none of them is this platform’s to state. The pages that own them are linked instead, which is a shorter route to the right answer than a summary written by somebody who cannot keep it current.

Where this comes from

Every place on this page is a record in the island directory, kept by this platform. A business appears once it can be named, and gains a phone number, a photograph and a position on the map as those are confirmed - often by somebody visiting it. Nothing here is bought placement.

If something is missing

The directory is incomplete and says so rather than filling gaps with guesses. If a place you know is not here, or something on it is wrong, tell us and it will be checked.
