The Galaxy Z Flip 8 is Samsung’s latest clamshell foldable phone, which has become a better value with an attractive trade-in offer.
According to ITNA citing Phonearena, the base price of this phone is $1,200, but Samsung is offering up to $400 trade-in credit for eligible devices in its online store. With the maximum discount, the price of the Galaxy Z Flip 8 drops to about $799.99.
The Galaxy Z Flip 8 is designed for users who, in addition to hardware power, prefer the compact form factor of foldable phones. This phone occupies very little space when folded and easily fits in a pocket, while when unfolded it offers an experience similar to a regular smartphone.
One of the most important strengths of the Galaxy Z Flip 8 is the use of the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset alongside 12 GB of RAM. This combination provides high processing power to users and enables running games, heavy apps, and daily tasks without issues.
Samsung has also upgraded the displays of this phone. The 4.1-inch outer display and the 6.9-inch inner display both use AMOLED panels, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness. The inner display also has a 2520 by 1080 pixel resolution and is a suitable option for watching videos and using social networks.
On the camera side, the Z Flip 8 is equipped with a 50-megapixel main camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 10-megapixel selfie camera. The 4,300 mAh battery can also provide a full day of charge.
Other changes in this generation include an improved hinge and a noticeable reduction in the crease of the inner display. The combination of foldable design, powerful hardware, and the $400 discount makes the Galaxy Z Flip 8 a very attractive option in the foldable phone market if you have an eligible device to trade in.
