iOS 27 is considered one of Apple's most important software updates for the iPhone and is scheduled to be available to users from September 14. Apple, simultaneously with the release of the final release candidate, has published the full release notes for this operating system, which show details of the new features.
According to ITNA quoting 9to5mac, one of the most important parts of iOS 27 is Siri equipped with artificial intelligence. The new Siri on compatible models will have a better understanding of personal context, on-screen content, and in-app actions, and will be able to hold more natural conversations. The dedicated Siri app also enables the continuation of conversations and their private synchronization across Apple products.
"Apple Intelligence" also has a more prominent presence in various parts of iOS 27. New image editing tools in the Photos app allow changing the frame, intelligent image expansion, and removal of larger objects. Safari also gains features for automatic tab grouping, receiving alerts about webpage changes, and building extensions with natural language. Image Playground, with the new generative model, makes image creation and editing more powerful.
Apple has also extended artificial intelligence capabilities to Calendar, Mail, Phone, Home, Accessibility, and Shortcuts. Users can create calendar events or shortcuts with natural language and benefit from smarter tools for managing calls, emails, and home devices.
In the child safety section, parents will have more control over apps, websites, screen time, and the content their children can see. The redesigned Screen Time settings also make managing these restrictions easier.
iOS 27 also comes with improved Liquid Glass readability, faster performance, more accurate search, smoother transitions between Wi‑Fi and mobile networks, and new features in Photos, AirPods, and Health. Of course, some iOS 27 features are available only on specific iPhone models or in certain regions.
