According to the Public Relations and International Affairs of the Kish Free Zone Organization, Sheikh Yaqoub Shams, the Sunni Friday prayer leader of Kish, at the ceremony commemorating World Tourism Day, congratulated those active in this field and said: tourism for Kish Island is not only an economic issue, but an important part of the life and future of this island depends on tourism, and with the arrival of tourists to Kish, hotels, restaurants, markets, recreational centers, transportation, ecotourism and many other businesses also become active and benefit from this boom.
Referring to changes in travel methods and tourists' planning, he said: today travel methods have changed and many people search the Internet before traveling, obtain their hotel and ticket online, read others' reviews and experiences, and even use artificial intelligence to plan trips.
The Sunni Friday prayer leader of Kish, referring to this year’s World Tourism Day theme and attention to the digital space and artificial intelligence, added: we must use these facilities to better introduce Kish Island so that tourists can obtain appropriate information about the island, hotels, recreational centers, programs and its attractions before traveling.
Service quality and hospitality; factors in tourists' return
Sheikh Yaqoub Shams, emphasizing the importance of proper behavior, hospitality and having up-to-date facilities, stated: a tourist may travel to Kish due to proper advertising, but what causes them to return to the island is the quality of services, proper treatment, security, tranquility and the good memories they take from the trip.
Referring to Kish’s diverse capacities, he said: the sea, beach, nature, recreational centers, ecotourism, hotels, international markets, locals and economic activists who have worked for years for the island’s tourism are Kish’s valuable capacities and if these capacities are placed alongside each other, Kish tourism can be made stronger than before.
Synergy to Boost Kish Tourism
The Sunni Friday prayer leader of Kish, referring to the role of various bodies in creating favorable conditions for Kish residents and tourists, described Kish as the healthiest and safest point in the country and appreciated the efforts of all organizations that play a role in maintaining these conditions.
Sheikh Yaqoub Shams also emphasized more precise planning, increased flights, development of the airport, port and customs, holding appropriate events, use of new technologies and greater support for the private sector, and said: with the continuation of these actions and the cooperation of the various bodies, one can witness greater prosperity and boom of Kish Island.
