Although several months remain until the official unveiling of the Galaxy S27 Ultra, information and rumors about Samsung's upcoming flagship are gradually being released.
According to Eitna quoting Android Authority, the latest reports relate to the physical specifications of this phone and indicate a slight increase in weight while maintaining a thickness almost identical to the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
According to well-known leaker Ice Universe, the Galaxy S27 Ultra will likely have a thickness of 7.9 millimeters. This figure is almost the same as the thickness of the Galaxy S26 Ultra and suggests that Samsung apparently does not intend to make the body of its future flagship thicker to increase battery capacity.
In contrast, the device's weight may reach 218 grams; about 4 grams more than the previous generation. Of course, this information is not official yet and should be viewed cautiously until the final specifications are released.
One possible reason for the weight increase is the use of a larger battery. According to previous leaks, Samsung may equip the Galaxy S27 Ultra with a 5700 mAh battery. This capacity is a significant increase compared to the 5000 mAh battery of the Galaxy S26 Ultra and could provide longer battery life for the future flagship.
In terms of dimensions, the Galaxy S27 Ultra will also have different specifications compared to the iPhone 18 Pro Max. The weight of the iPhone 18 Pro Max, according to reported information, is about 249 grams; therefore the Galaxy S27 Ultra, at a possible weight of 218 grams, will be lighter. In terms of thickness, Samsung's 7.9-millimeter figure is less than the possible 8.8-millimeter thickness of the iPhone 18 Pro Max.
Of course, weight and thickness are only part of a flagship phone's specifications and are not equally important to all users. However, maintaining thickness while increasing battery capacity could be one of the interesting changes of the Galaxy S27 Ultra. It should be noted that all of this information is currently in the realm of rumors and leaks, and the final specifications of the phone will only be determined with Samsung's official introduction.
