It appears Samsung's Galaxy S27 series will also be launched at higher prices than the previous generation due to increased hardware component costs.

According to EITNA citing Android Authority, based on a new report, Samsung intends to raise the prices of Galaxy S27 phones across different models and memory capacities; a move that could widen the price gaps between the various versions of the family.

One of the main reasons for this price increase is said to be the ongoing RAM crisis. Companies active in the field of artificial intelligence are purchasing a significant portion of memory and other key components, and the rising demand has driven up the prices of parts used in consumer electronics. Samsung had previously raised the prices of many of its flagship phones in 2026.

According to a Korean leaker, the Galaxy S27 price increase may be applied to all models and storage capacities. This becomes more significant because it is said that the Galaxy S27 Pro and Ultra may be equipped with the newer and more expensive UFS 5.1 storage and LPDDR6 RAM.

The reported price increase for the South Korean market ranges from 100,000 won to over 130,000 won, approximately equivalent to $74 to $96. Of course, these figures pertain only to the Korean market and the final prices in other countries may differ. Nonetheless, the report also raises the possibility of a global price increase for the Galaxy S27 series.

Samsung also raised the prices of many Galaxy S26 models in the previous generation. The Galaxy S26 with 256 GB started at $900, which was $100 more than the 128 GB Galaxy S25. Therefore, if the new price increases materialize, the cheapest Galaxy S27 may be offered at a price higher than $950; although the official price has not yet been announced.
