Google, in an official teaser, announced the release of the Fitbit Edge health tracker on October 12, 2026. This new product is set to join the Fitbit wearable family and, with a focus on health monitoring, will be a different option alongside the Pixel Watch smartwatches.
According to ITNA citing 9to5Google, Google posted the phrase “With Edge, stay one step ahead of your health” in a short social media message and also confirmed the product's unveiling date. The teaser specifies the device's official name but does not provide full information about its features and technical specifications.
The published image shows indications of the device’s display; a display that had previously been seen in leaked images. It also appears that the Fitbit Edge uses a metal body and inherits the Canyon color; a color that was also used on the Pixel Watch 5.
Based on unofficial information, this tracker may ship with a seven-day battery life and support Gemini-based AI features. It is also said that it will be possible to connect and use it with an iPhone; a feature that could expand the product's user base.
The probable price of the Fitbit Edge is estimated at about $180; a figure that makes it slightly more expensive than the Fitbit Air, the screenless product of this family, but substantially cheaper than the Pixel Watch 5 with a $400 base price.
Despite this information, many important details, including the exact display specifications, health monitoring capabilities, and software features, have not yet been officially announced. Therefore, the October 12 unveiling event could provide clearer information about the Fitbit Edge's position in the health tracker market.
