According to Khabar Online news agency, Mohammadamin Aghamiri, Secretary of the Supreme Council of Cyberspace, said: «Last year, the internet was cut off only once in Dey; the other cases were restrictions.»
He emphasized that governance of cyberspace is not limited to cutting off the internet, saying: «How many times has the internet been cut off in the past 15 years?»
Aghamiri also said: «Nobody likes the internet to be cut off, just as nobody prefers that flights be closed during wartime, but there is no alternative.»
