Alfa Romeo unveiled the Cuorerosso concept at the Paris Motor Show; a sporty coupe with a 2+2 seating layout that could indicate the design direction of the Italian brand's future cars. The name Cuorerosso means "red heart" and its design, especially at the rear, is reminiscent of the iconic Alfa Romeo 8C.

According to ITNA citing ArenaEV, the car is currently a concept and its unveiling does not mean sales or mass production will begin in the near future. Nevertheless, its striking appearance and technical flexibility indicate Alfa Romeo is exploring various options for the next generation of its sports cars.

The Cuorerosso measures 4,700 mm in length, 1,980 mm in width and 1,331 mm in height. Its wheelbase reaches 2,930 mm and the vehicle's weight is stated as 1,750 kg. A drag coefficient of 0.28, air suspension, Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes and an electronic steering system without a direct mechanical connection (Steer-by-Wire) are other technical features of this concept.

In the body design, a short, truncated rear, rear-hinged doors, an illuminated grille and a bespoke Liquid Ink Red paint are notable. Special alloy wheels also contribute to the car's sporty appearance.

One of the most important points about the Cuorerosso is the possibility of using several types of powertrain. Alfa Romeo has confirmed that this architecture can be paired with a fully electric system, various hybrid powertrains or the 2.9-litre V6 from the Giulia Quadrifoglio. If the V6 is used, the Q4 all-wheel-drive system, a torque-converter automatic transmission and a carbon-fiber driveshaft are also envisaged.

Alfa Romeo has not yet announced the final power, acceleration or performance of potential versions. However, since the Giulia Quadrifoglio’s engine produces more than 500 horsepower, this powertrain could underpin impressive performance. For now, the Cuorerosso is more a showcase of a possible future for Alfa Romeo sports cars than a vehicle ready for purchase.
