According to the Public Relations and International Affairs of the Kish Free Zone Organization, with the notification of the license to establish the Kish Non‑Governmental Research and Technology Fund company, the process of official registration and operation of this fund has entered the executive phase so that it will begin work concurrently with Government Week.
This license was issued based on the resolution of the Permanent Working Group of the Steering Council for Technologies and Knowledge‑Based Products and after approval of a registered capital of 2,000 billion rials and the composition of the fund's shareholders.
The Kish Free Zone Organization, the Vice‑Presidency for Science, Technology and Knowledge‑Based Economy, Kish Institute of Science and Technology, and a number of companies active in the fields of technology, energy, investment and knowledge‑based industries constitute the shareholders of this fund.
The activities of the Kish Non‑Governmental Research and Technology Fund can provide the grounds for financial support of knowledge‑based and technological companies, the development of investment in innovative projects, and the commercialization of technological products and services on Kish Island.
