On the eve of Apple's official unveiling of the new Beats 360 headphones, fresh information about the design and features of this product has been released. These details were revealed after a listing of select products was posted and removed on Reddit and after a certification registered with the United States Federal Communications Commission (FCC) was observed by MacRumors.
According to these details, the Beats 360 headphones appear in FCC documents with the model number “3577A,” and it seems Apple is preparing for the official introduction of this product.
Design inspired by the AirPods Max
Reports indicate the Beats 360 headphones use a design inspired by the AirPods Max 2. This product is equipped with a wide headband and features replaceable ear cushions and adjustable sizing to provide greater comfort for users.
The leaked information also mentions the presence of two physical buttons on the sides of the headphones for music playback control and volume adjustment.
Apple is expected to release these headphones in a variety of colors including green, pink, light blue, light gray, and black.
Water resistance and stronger noise cancellation
According to information published by retailers, the Beats 360 will be Apple’s first over-ear headphones to carry an IPX4 rating; a detail that guarantees its resistance to water and sweat.
It is also said that the performance of the active noise cancellation (ANC) in these headphones will be up to 75 percent better than the Beats Studio Pro.
Support for spatial audio and long battery life
According to the leaked information, the Beats 360 supports virtual spatial audio with head-tracking. Apple has also promised that the battery of these headphones will last a full day even with noise cancellation enabled.
This product will be compatible with iPhone and Android-based devices via the Beats app.
Easier portability with rotating cushions
Although the Beats 360 does not have a foldable design, users can rotate the ear cushions up to a 90-degree angle to take up less space and make carrying it easier.
