According to the Public Relations and International Affairs of the Kish Free Zone Organization, this ceremony was held with the presence of students, the Friday Imams of Kish, deputies and directors of the Kish Free Zone Organization, education officials and the island’s military and police commanders, and after the ringing of the Bell of Mehr and Resistance, special programs for the start of the school year continued.
Hojjatoleslam wal-Muslimeen Alireza Biniyaz, the Friday Imam of Kish, at this ceremony, congratulated the start of the school year and commemorated Sacred Defense Week, saying: acquiring knowledge and science has a high status and today’s students will be the managers, officials and pride-makers of the country’s future.
He, referring to the concurrence of the start of the school year with Sacred Defense Week, added: the epic-makers and defenders of the country’s dignity and security once attended these very classrooms, and today’s students must, by striving to acquire knowledge, strengthening faith and ethics, and attaining higher scientific ranks, prepare themselves to play a role in the country’s future.
Biniyaz, emphasizing the role of teachers and officials in educating the next generation, stated: proper education, strengthening the skill of correct thinking and fostering a sense of responsibility must begin at school. He also appreciated the cooperation of the Kish Free Zone Organization, the education department and those involved in the field of education and called for the continuation of efforts to improve the educational conditions and schools of the island.
Sheikh Yaqub Shams, the Sunni Friday Imam of Kish, also congratulated the start of the new school year, saying: reopening schools does not only mean the resumption of classes, but the beginning of a new chapter for learning, growth and building the future, and education alongside science must also pay attention to nurturing ethics, responsibility, honesty, discipline and life skills.
Referring to the difficult days of recent months, he added: the return of students to school is a message of hope and looking to the future, and schools must provide a safe, calm, lively and hopeful environment so that students can recognize their talents and strive to build the future.
Shams, referring to the role of students in the island’s future, stated: Kish needs skilled and ethical forces in various fields to continue its development path, and many of these human assets are today present in the classrooms of the island’s schools. He also emphasized upgrading the quality of educational spaces, expanding school facilities and paying attention to identifying and nurturing students’ talents.
Abbas Rajaeefard, Director of Education of Kish, also congratulated the start of the 1405–1406 school year, saying: nearly 10,000 students, accompanied by about 600 educators, are beginning the new school year in the island of Kish’s schools.
He added: improving educational quality, developing educational justice and pursuing the welfare and livelihood issues of educators are the main axes of the Kish education department’s programs in the new school year, and these programs will be followed up with the cooperation of the Kish Free Zone Organization and other sectors of the island.
Rajaeefard, emphasizing the necessity of coherent planning for improving education on the island, said: the cooperation of agencies and various entities within the framework of social responsibility can pave the way to provide better educational services to students and create suitable conditions for educating the next generation.
At this ceremony, the memory of the martyrs of the Shajareh Tayyibeh School of Minab was also commemorated. Students whose names and memories, at the start of the new school year, inspire today’s generation to strive, learn and move along the path of progress.
