This investment is allocated to a program called "Claude Frontier Academy" that aims to train 10,000 AI deployment engineers from companies in Anthropic's Cloud Partners network by the end of 2027.

Anthropic said engineers from firms such as Accenture, Morgan Stanley, Novo Nordisk and several large consulting firms are in the first cohorts of the program. The program was formed as Anthropic partners with companies to deploy Claude.

Shambhavi Shambhavi, head of strategy and partnership operations at Anthropic, said: the company’s customers and partner organizations need more personnel who, in addition to being familiar with enterprise technologies and the business environment, have high AI skills and can solve companies’ needs.

She added: Anthropic is expanding its activities and companies around the world are trying to use the company’s AI tools across different parts of their businesses.

The company will likely go public by the end of this calendar year and, according to published reports, its valuation could reach two trillion dollars.

Reuters also reported earlier last week, citing a leaked version of Anthropic’s IPO draft prospectus, that the company had nearly $4.6 billion in revenue last year but its operating loss exceeded $8 billion.

The Claude Frontier Academy training program begins with an intensive "Simulated Enterprise Deployment" course and a scoring assessment. Those who successfully pass this stage enter a program structured similarly to medical training courses.

In this program, software engineers train under mentors and practice using case studies before assessment and certification. The first cohort of engineers is expected to be certified in early 2027.

Steve Corfield, global head of business development and partnerships at Anthropic, said: the Claude Frontier Academy trains people the same way our own engineers are trained and we want graduates of this program to set a standard for how AI is developed in companies.

The launch of this program comes as demand for AI engineering specialists across industries is rapidly increasing.

CNBC reported that, based on data from Draup, job postings for in-house engineers and other AI-related roles in the financial industry have risen sharply this year. / ISNA
