The bill is one of the matters that owners of Hamrah Aval postpaid lines always face; through the detailed bill they can view the particulars of their invoice and proceed to pay it. A mobile subscriber's bill includes call charges, SMS, subscription fee, purchased bundles, money, government revenue and some charges or debts, but alongside these items there are also other charges.
What is meant by other charges?
In the mobile bill, "Other Charges" is usually a general category for amounts that are not directly subsets of "main bundle", "calls" or "internet". This section can include the items mentioned below:
Value-added services
The set of services for which a user is charged is called value-added services. Value-added services are not only delivered to users via SMS; they include IVR phone calls and various mobile services.
The general purpose of this service is to deliver a collection such as games, entertainment, educational tips, diet programs and audiobooks to customers. For example, suppose an app offers audiobooks and a few audio stories in the app for the audience for free, but if you want to listen to the rest of the stories you must pay for them. Another value-added service is subscription services. Monthly services include SMS services such as news, weather updates or competitions that have been previously activated.
Entertainment services are another type of value-added service. Using music apps, video or online games that are activated via the operator. VAS services usually support attractiveness and advantages compared to main services, the platform and context of which are the world of electronics, web and telecommunications.
Charges related to SIM card and number replacement
If you really replaced your SIM card due to loss or damage, the cost of the new SIM card may appear in this section.
Number porting fee
If you transfer your number from one operator to another, you will be charged for that.
Charges related to roaming (roaming)
If you are traveling abroad, call, SMS or internet usage charges abroad are listed in this section or in the calls section under the title "international services".
Fines and taxes
In some cases, value-added tax is deducted from amounts and is visible in this part. Also, if you do not pay a previous bill on time, you may be subject to a late payment penalty.
Other charges
The appearance of this phrase on the bill signifies providing services to subscribers such as ringback tones, corrections, name changes, disconnection and reconnection, etc. These services entail service fees and are listed under "service fees" and "content-based services" of text-based types (SMS) such as news and sports and football results to SMS, religious services, sending daily prayers or calendar and participating in SMS competitions to receive prizes, educational and recreational content or skills training and services that are provided via online links, SMS, or for free. It deducts from your SIM card and multimedia (audio and visual) such as combined tones and ringback tones that are applied to subscribers' bills.
Subscribers can receive full details of content-based charges by sending the letter K and service fees by sending the letter C to the 990009 SMS system. Also, by sending the USSD code #800* one can get information about active services, subscription toggling, promotional SMS blocking, service disconnection, sender identity and international call connectivity.
Also, other charges include service fees collected by the operator through Hamrah Aval offices, kiosks or the Hamrah Aval responsiveness system. Subscribers can visit https://my.mci.ir and view their bill details and the cost of these services.
Electronic government services on the bill
In general, in ordinary mobile operators' bills there is no line named "electronic government services" because operators are only "network providers", not "providers of government services". You can use electronic services such as payments, unlawful vehicle processing, cash or funds through mobile banking or operator applications.
When you are on a government site such as renewing documents or paying a fine, and you choose the payment option "pay via SIM credit" or "pay via operator app", the operator only plays the role of a payment intermediary; therefore in your bank transaction report that service is named accordingly, but on the operator's monthly bill that amount is only seen as a "completed payment" or part of the "remaining balance" and its details are in no way recorded in the mobile bill.
The only exception is that if you work for a government organization and your SIM card is organizational, related management charges of lines or services regulated by government rules may appear on that organization's administrative bills. However, if subscribers have ambiguity about this issue they can send the letter D to 990009 to determine whether their bill is related to electronic government services.
