According to the Public Relations and International Affairs of the Kish Free Zone Organization, the National Tourism Industry Excellence Award is the country’s specialized award in organizational management, designed inspired by international quality assessment models (such as EFQM).
Based on the final results of expert evaluations, the Kish Free Zone Organization has succeeded, by maximally aligning with the tourism organizational excellence criteria and in recognition of achievements, innovations and improvements in the quality of tourism infrastructure, holding novel events and registering tourism records in 1404, in receiving the highest level of this award, namely the Diamond Medal, and being selected as the country’s top government organization.
According to the Secretariat of the National Tourism Industry Excellence Award, awarding the Diamond Medal to Kish is the result of Kish’s strategic actions in the following areas:
* Innovation and competitiveness: designing targeted advertising and marketing campaigns and planning to attract tourists after the 12-day war downturn and continuously holding innovative events and festivals.
* Sustainable tourism development: special attention to preserving the island’s environment and institutionalizing environmental approaches in plans such as the Kish Green Mark and the Smart Sustainable Tourism Transformation Plan.
* Upgrading infrastructure and services: qualitative improvement of welfare, accommodation and recreational facilities with a focus on increasing tourist satisfaction.
It is worth noting that receiving the Diamond Medal, beyond an organizational success, is a confirmation of Kish Island’s position as Iran’s tourism hub and a pioneer in developing this important industry.
