About this place
The discovery of a large number of pottery objects and wall decorations including stucco work and gilded tiles similar to the Takht-e Soleyman and Soltaniyeh sites, as an imported element, indicates the financial means of the owner of this house; for this reason the excavators named it A'yanı Mansion. This building is located about 250 meters above sea level. The main entrance is on the west side with half-columns around it and to the right of the entrance is a square-shaped room known as the "Morabba'eh" which was used for receiving guests, commercial dealings and public hospitality; from this room a corridor leads to the central courtyard.
The central courtyard was separated from the surrounding corridor by twelve rectangular stone piers measuring 40×50 centimeters that were connected to each other by arches and supported part of the roof. The rooms are arranged around the central courtyard and include a kitchen, sanitary facilities, storerooms and reception rooms. Two flights of stairs lead from the courtyard to the second floor and parts of the room floors and the second-floor balcony remain. Other related spaces include a room with water installations, a room with a grooved floor for extracting dates, a stable and accommodation facilities for the staff.
