Changed on 21 September 2026, and this one matters. This site now measures how it is read with analytics software, and it sets a cookie that recognises your browser when you come back. That means we can see the pages one reader looked at, in order, across separate visits. The software is our own, on our own server - no other company receives any of it - but this is more than the site used to record, and it is a real change rather than a tidy-up. What it collects, how to stop it, and how long it is kept are below. Every change to this policy is listed under Changes.
This policy explains what Kish (kishfz.ir) collects, why, and what happens to it. It describes what the site actually does rather than what a site of this kind usually does, and it is written to be checked against the software.
The site is operated by Kish IT (کیش آی تی). Questions about this policy go to info@kishfz.ir.
What we collect
When you simply read the site, we collect almost nothing. There is no advertising tracker and no third-party script of any kind on these pages. Fonts, stylesheets, images, video and audio are all served from our own server, so browsing here - watching the live page included - does not tell any other company that you were here. There is no video platform, no streaming service and no content delivery network in front of any of it. Our web server keeps ordinary access logs, which include your IP address, the page requested and the time.
We measure how the site is read, using analytics software (Matomo) that runs on our own server at analytics.kishfz.ir. It is not a service belonging to anybody else: no other company receives this, and nothing about your reading leaves our machine.
For each page you open it records the page and the order you read it in, the language it was shown in, the site that linked you here if there was one, what you searched for if you used the site search, your browser and operating system, your screen size, and roughly where you are - country, and usually the province.
It recognises you when you come back. A cookie in your browser carries a number that means nothing outside this site, and the software uses it to join today's reading to the reading you did last week. So what we hold is not only "this page was read 400 times" but "this browser read these pages, in this order, on these four days". We do not know your name from any of this, and we do not try to find it out - but a record of what one person read is still a record of a person, and calling it anything softer would be dishonest.
Your full IP address is not stored by the analytics. The last part of it is removed before the visit is saved, which is enough to tell Iran from elsewhere and roughly which province, and not enough to identify a connection. The access logs described above are separate and do keep the full address.
How to stop it. If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, nothing is recorded at all - that setting is honoured here and it is the simplest way. Clearing this site's cookies deletes the number, after which you are somebody new. There is also an opt-out switch at analytics.kishfz.ir that turns the measurement off for your browser and leaves it off.
If you use the chat assistant, we store the conversation and some technical details about the visit:
- every message you send and every reply,
- which AI model answered, and how many tokens it used,
- your IP address,
- your browser's user-agent string,
- a session identifier, and the language you were reading in,
- your account, if you are signed in.
If you are not signed in, the conversation is not linked to an account - but the IP address and user agent are still recorded, and together those can often identify a person indirectly. So a conversation is not anonymous even when you are not signed in.
Please do not type anything into the chat that you would not want kept. It is a public assistant, not a private channel, and the transcript is readable by site administrators until it is deleted.
If you create an account, we store your username, email address and a cryptographic hash of your password. We never store the password itself.
If you register a business in the directory, everything you submit is intended to be published - that is the point of a directory listing.
Cookies and local storage
If you sign in, Drupal sets a session cookie so the site remembers you between pages. It is removed when you sign out.
Your light-or-dark theme choice is kept in your browser's local storage under delkish-theme. It never leaves your device and is not sent to us.
The analytics sets two cookies. One holds the number that recognises your browser on later visits and lasts 12 months; the other marks a single visit and expires after 30 minutes of inactivity. They are set by this site, for this site - we set no advertising cookies, and no cookie here is read by anybody else. How to refuse them is under What we collect.
Where your information goes
Artificial intelligence. Chat messages are sent to OpenAI to generate a reply. Content published here in Persian is also sent to OpenAI to be translated into English and Arabic. This means text you type into the chat leaves Iran and is processed on OpenAI's systems under their terms. If that is not acceptable to you, do not use the chat.
Email. Messages we send you are handled by our own mail server, on our own machine. They are not passed to a third-party mail provider.
Nobody else. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. We disclose information only where the law requires it, or to protect the safety of a person.
How long we keep things
- Chat transcripts: 90 days. The clock runs from the last message in a conversation, after which the software deletes the conversation and every message in it. This happens automatically and depends on nobody remembering to do it.
- Server access logs: 12 months. They are deleted after that.
- Analytics: 12 months for the visit records, then totals only. The detailed records - which browser read which pages, when - are deleted automatically after twelve months. What remains is totals with nobody in them: how many times a page was read, in which language, from which country, and those we keep. Twelve months is the same period we keep server access logs for, and it is set in the software rather than left to somebody remembering.
- Account information: for as long as your account exists.
- Published directory listings and news: they remain published until removed.
What you can ask us to do
Write to info@kishfz.ir and we will, within a reasonable time:
- tell you what we hold about you,
- correct anything that is wrong,
- delete your account and the personal information attached to it,
- stop sending you notifications.
Some things cannot be deleted on request: content you published that others now rely on, and records we are required to keep.
Age
There is no age restriction on using this site, and we neither ask for nor record a visitor's age.
Because we do not know anyone's age, we cannot treat children differently from anyone else. That is why we ask everybody - and the young in particular - not to type personal details into the chat.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will say so on the site rather than quietly editing the page and changing the date.
- 21 September 2026 - analytics, and a cookie. The site began measuring how it is read with Matomo, on our own server. This is the first cookie here that is not needed to make the site work, and the first time the site records what one reader looked at across separate visits. The software it replaces counted pages with a code that was rebuilt daily and could not follow anybody from one day to the next; that limit is gone, deliberately, and this entry exists so that nobody has to compare two versions of a page to discover it. Do Not Track is honoured, the last part of every address is discarded, and the records are deleted after twelve months.
- 15 September 2026 - video and audio. The site began publishing video and music on its live page. Both are served from our own server, like everything else here, so no video platform, streaming service or content delivery network sees that you watched. Nothing new is collected, and no part of this policy changed except this sentence and the one about fonts and images, which now names video and audio too.
- 15 August 2026 - page counting. The site began counting how often each page is read, with its own software, no cookie and no third party. Before this date nothing counted reading at all. That software was replaced on 21 September 2026 by the analytics described above; the counts it made remain.
