According to the Public Relations and International Affairs of the Kish Free Zone Organization, the National Veterans Greco-Roman Wrestling Championship and national team selection were held from 1 to 3 August, hosted by Qazvin Province, and participants in different groups and weight classes faced off to earn top titles and qualification for the national team.
At the end of these competitions, Yeganeh finished above the other opponents in the 62-kilogram weight, Group C, and claimed the championship. Mohammadreza Hafezi-zadeh from Khuzestan placed second, and Mohammadreza Mostaan from Ardabil and Ali Fathah-arteh from Mazandaran shared third place.
