According to the Public Relations and International Affairs of the Kish Free Zone Organization, Mohammad Kabiri on Friday, 23 Mordad, visited the island’s flight simulator complex, inspected the installation and preparation process of the Boeing 737 simulator and was informed of the latest measures taken to operate this complex.
On the sidelines of this visit, Kabiri, referring to the island’s capacities in the field of aviation, said: the development of the aviation industry in the south of the country can be one of the important paths for Kish’s development and actions in this field began last year.
He added: simultaneously with the calls and planning carried out to launch the first Aircraft Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) center in Kish, a capable private sector complex is also installing and commissioning the country’s first Boeing 737 aircraft simulator.
The CEO of the Kish Free Zone Organization, referring to the time of operation of this complex, stated: according to the planned schedule, the Boeing 737 simulator will be officially inaugurated during Government Week and this action will be the start of a path for developing flight simulator complexes on Kish Island.
Kabiri continued: the development program of this complex will not be limited to the Boeing 737 simulator and it is predicted that by 20 Aban, coinciding with Kish Day, an MD aircraft simulator will also be added to this complex and subsequently other required simulators will gradually be established in this complex.
Emphasizing the role of domestic specialists in implementing this plan, he said: creating this capacity is the result of the knowledge, expertise and ability of Iranian engineers in the aviation industry and the Kish Free Zone Organization will also support the development of this industry and the expansion of specialized aviation activities on the island.
The CEO of the Kish Free Zone Organization noted: developing educational and specialized aviation infrastructures, launching flight simulators and creating capacities related to aircraft maintenance can strengthen Kish’s position in the country’s aviation industry and provide the grounds for developing this industry in the south of the country.
Kabiri emphasized: leveraging the capacity of the private sector and the capabilities of Iranian specialists has provided a suitable basis for expanding aviation activities in Kish and the Kish Free Zone Organization will also support the development of this industry on the island.
