According to the Public Relations and International Affairs of the Kish Free Zone Organization, Mohammad Nouri during this visit inspected the companies “Hamanandsaz Bafte Kish”, “Mahan-Med Mimeh Kish” and “Armani Royal Kish” and closely reviewed the production capacities, national achievements and challenges facing these units.

Hamanandsaz Bafte; a pioneer in tissue engineering and biological products

In the first stage of this visit, Hamanandsaz Bafte Kish company, which operates in the reconstruction of biological tissues and the creation of new tissue using biological cells and biomaterials, hosted the Assistant to the President.

This knowledge-based and specialized complex works in the field of producing bone and soft bioimplants and its products are used in vital areas such as cardiovascular, orthopedics, dentistry, neurology, dermatology and ophthalmology. This company, on a land area of 10,000 square meters, produces various bone and covering bioimplants with an annual production capacity of 420 kilograms.

During the visit, Nouri appreciated the valuable achievements of this company in terms of foreign exchange savings, providing specialized services and meeting the country’s treatment needs and stated: the activity carried out in this field is evaluated as very excellent and such a complex is less common in the region.

Referring to the future outlook of this industry, he added: the scope for growth of this discipline in the near future will be very extensive and Kish can be considered as a leading center for the production of various tissues.

Nouri also emphasized that the development of tissue technologies, in addition to treating patients, will pave the way for the expansion of medical tourism in Kish and turn this island into an international destination in the health sector.

Mahan-Med Mimeh; focus on producing strategic dialysis equipment

Subsequently, Nouri visited Mahan-Med Mimeh Kish company; a knowledge-based production unit active in producing consumable dialysis supplies.

This complex, with an annual production capacity of 8 million sets of hemodialysis venous and arterial, 6 million fistula venous needles, 2 million dialysis filters and 12 million kilometers of hollow fiber membranes, is considered one of the key units in meeting the country’s health needs.

The Assistant to the President, referring to the increasing need for dialysis services in society, evaluated this company’s ability to supply a significant part of the country’s needs in sensitive conditions as very important and emphasized the necessity of supporting this complex’s innovative capacities.

Armani Royal; supplying 15 percent of the country's need for prosthesis screws

In another part of these visits, the Assistant to the President visited Armani Royal Kish company as a leading complex in designing and producing orthopedic equipment, bone implants and surgical instruments for joints and the spine.

This company, with an annual production capacity of 60,000 internal prosthesis screws, supplies about 15 percent of the country’s total need in orthopedic and neurosurgical surgeries. Nouri, emphasizing the position of this complex in producing bone implants, expressed hope that with the development of new equipment, broader production of various dental, cranial and vertebral implants in Kish will become possible to take a long step toward full self-sufficiency in this field.

Support for producers in the path of removing obstacles

During these visits, issues such as product pricing, banking facilities and tax challenges were raised by the managers of the production complexes.

Nouri, emphasizing the necessity of supporting domestic production in the current conditions, stated: these concerns must be reviewed quickly and necessary follow-ups for resolving them should be undertaken.

He, appreciating the perseverance of the managers and specialists of these complexes, added: it is admirable that the existing concerns have not been able to prevent the continuation of production, research and education in these units.
