Realme unveiled the new Realme P4s 5G smartphone; a mid-range product that, with a powerful 8000 mAh battery, a very bright AMOLED display and a 144 Hz refresh rate, aims to offer a combination of notable features and competitive pricing to users.
Realme has used a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2772 by 1272 pixels in this phone. This display benefits from a 144 Hz refresh rate and its peak brightness reaches 6500 nits.
One of the most important features of the P4s 5G is its large 8000 mAh battery. Realme stated that this battery can provide up to three days of power and also supports fast charging with a maximum power of 80 watts via a USB-C port.
Despite using such a large battery, this phone has a relatively slim design. The thickness of the Realme P4s 5G is reported as 8.6 mm and its weight is stated as 208 g. The device also has an IP69 rating for resistance to water and dust.
Distinctive design and 144 Hz display
The Realme P4s 5G is offered in gray and turquoise colors, and its semi-transparent camera module design gives it a different appearance compared to many competing mid-range phones.
This phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset and on the camera side is equipped with a 50-megapixel main sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera with an f/2.2 aperture, and a 16-megapixel selfie camera with an f/2.4 aperture.
Realme has also promised that the P4s 5G will receive at least three major Android OS updates and four years of security updates.
Price and availability
The Realme P4s 5G will first enter the Indian market. The base version of this phone with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage will be offered at a price of about $369. The more powerful model with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage will be priced at about $440.
Given the announced specifications, the 8000 mAh battery, 144 Hz display and support for 80 W fast charging are among the most important strengths of Realme's new phone; features that could make the P4s 5G one of the noteworthy options in the mid-range smartphone market.
