According to the Public Relations and International Affairs of the Kish Free Zone Organization, continuing the ongoing inspections of trades and service centers, a joint inspection patrol attended by the deputy public prosecutor and representatives of relevant agencies visited a number of jewelry and commercial units.
During these visits, the status of operating licenses of jewelry trade units, banking permits related to coin sales, the manner of operation and compliance with legal regulations in this area, as well as the method of offering goods, pricing and handling of public complaints were examined.
One axis of this inspection was the review of units that are still in the process of obtaining and completing legal permits. In this regard, the subject of granting a renewed 15-day opportunity to some jewelry units to complete and obtain the required permits was also raised.
During this patrol, a jewelry unit was sealed due to not having the permit under Article 27 and also not having a business license. Also, given the sensitivity of the gold market and the importance of protecting consumer rights, the issue of examining the purity and fineness of gold in some units was placed on the agenda.
The deputy public prosecutor, emphasizing the importance of overseeing the gold market, said: Considering that gold constitutes a significant portion of household capital and savings and is highly sensitive, oversight of the activities of units in this trade will be pursued more seriously.
He added: Given the examinations carried out regarding the purity of some offered gold items, the process of review and follow-ups in this area will increase and violations will be dealt with in accordance with legal rules and regulations.
The Commercial Management of the Kish Free Zone Organization, also emphasizing the continuation of inspection patrols, announced: The manner of offering goods and services, compliance with trade regulations, the status of operating permits and public reports and complaints will be continuously reviewed.
