According to the Public Relations and International Affairs of the Kish Free Zone Organization, these field inspections, aimed at supervising the activities of real estate agents, reviewing compliance with legal rules and regulations and protecting the rights of Kish residents, were conducted in the presence of Sadeq Davaei, deputy and special representative of the Kish prosecutor in trade inspections; Seyed Mohammadmahdi Miri, Director of Commerce of the Kish Free Zone Organization; Mohammad Eslami Mohebb, Head of the Kish Registration of Deeds and Properties Office; and Mostafa Rabiei, CEO of the Kish Real Estate Agents Union Institute, along with representatives of supervisory bodies and relevant officials.
During these monitoring visits, the activities of real estate agents in various parts of the island, including units located in the Diplomat, Roya and Sarina shopping complexes and a number of other active units in this sector, were examined in terms of possession of necessary permits, compliance with legal and statutory requirements and also registered reports and complaints.
The results of the investigations showed instances of violations in some of the visited units, including lack of necessary permits, legal and statutory violations and registered complaints, among the matters addressed. The five units that were ultimately sealed had previously received written and verbal warnings and had been given the necessary time to rectify the announced issues, but despite follow-ups, they had not taken action to resolve these matters.
Of the five sealed units, the sealing of three units will continue until further notice, and these units are required to remedy the announced issues, comply with legal requirements and obtain the necessary permits to continue their activities.
The other two units, due to violations and registered complaints, lack of necessary permits and also considering the long-term absence of their operators from the country, will remain sealed until the operators return, present themselves and the status of these units' activities is reviewed and determined.
Monitoring the activities of commercial and service units, reviewing the status of legal permits and handling requests and reports from Kish residents will continue within the framework of the ongoing program for supervising the Kish Island market.
