According to the Public Relations and International Affairs of the Kish Free Zone Organization, Farzad Radbooy, Deputy of Sports and Healthy Recreation of Kish Development, Water and Services Company, describing the programs planned for this occasion said: the development of public sports, promotion of sports culture, identification of sports talents and providing the grounds for participation of various social groups in sports activities are among the most important objectives of holding these programs.
Referring to the variety of planned competitions, he added: sports competitions will be held in calisthenics, swimming, water polo, open water swimming, frisbee, paddle, yoga, chess, athletics, fishing, darts, dodgeball, beach tennis, handball, basketball, volleyball, beach handball, beach volleyball, taekwondo, karate, boxing, muay thai and kickboxing. Also holding an FC tournament and mafia and backgammon competitions are other programs planned for these days.
The Deputy of Sports and Healthy Recreation of Kish about the cultural and side programs of this occasion said: setting up a cultural and sports boulevard, a special celebration for Physical Education and Sports Week, performing demonstrative movements of martial arts and a symbolic display of the map of Iran on Kish recreational pier are among the programs that will be implemented with the aim of creating social vitality and increasing public participation.
Radbooy, referring to the cooperation of sports federations in implementing these programs, noted: we strive to use the capacities of sports federations and hold diverse events to provide a broader presence of Kish residents and tourists in sports and cultural activities and to use this opportunity to promote a healthy lifestyle and introduce the sports capacities of Kish Island.
