According to the Public Relations and International Affairs of the Kish Free Zone Organization, the Arba'een mourning ceremony for Husayn was held on Tuesday noon, 13 Mordad, after the performance of the noon and afternoon prayers, with the presence of a number of Kish residents and worshippers at the Khatam al-Anbiya (PBUH) Mosque on Kish Island.

This ritual included a speech by Hojjatoleslam wal-Muslimin Mohammad Ebadi-zadeh, the Representative of the Supreme Leader in Hormozgan Province and the Friday Imam of Bandar Abbas, and the eulogy of Alireza Moradi, the eulogist of Ahl al-Bayt (AS).

Kish, a Showcase of Spiritual and Revolutionary Identity

Hojjatoleslam wal-Muslimin Ebadi-zadeh, at this ceremony, considered the presence of Kish residents in popular gatherings, occasions, marches, elections and religious ceremonies as indicative of their religious, revolutionary and spiritual spirit and stated: part of the spiritual and social identity of Kish Island, which may have been hidden from some views, has been introduced to the people across the country by the widespread and continuous presence of Kish residents in various arenas.

The Representative of the Supreme Leader in Hormozgan Province, while appreciating the accompaniment of Kish residents and island officials, added: this effective presence has displayed a clear image of the faith, solidarity and sense of responsibility of the Kish community.

The Culture of Arba'een, a Complement to the Mission of Ashura

Ebadi-zadeh continued, referring to the concepts of the Arba'een pilgrimage, described the Ashura culture as the manifestation of sacrifice, devotion, courage and loyalty and asserted: the culture of Arba'een complements the culture of Ashura and bears the mission of explaining, transmitting and preserving the teachings of the uprising of Imam Husayn (AS).

He noted: Imam Husayn (AS) and his loyal companions created the epic of Ashura and afterwards, Lady Zaynab al-Kubra (SA) and Imam Sajjad (AS), through enlightenment and messaging, completed the mission of the Husayni movement.

The Friday Imam of Bandar Abbas concluded by emphasizing: Ashura and Arba'een are two inseparable parts of the Husayni movement; Ashura is a symbol of sacrifice and resistance and Arba'een preserves and transmits the message of this epic to future generations.

During the continuation of this ceremony, Alireza Moradi recited elegies and lamentations mourning Imam Aba Abdillah al-Husayn (AS) and the martyrs of the Karbala plain, expressing grief.
