According to the Public Relations and International Affairs of the Kish Free Zone Organization, Mohammad Kabiri, while attending the Beyhaqi-reading program and becoming acquainted with Beyhaqi's history, also visited the Millennium Arts Museum and described the actions taken in the field of the island’s cultural heritage.

Kabiri, referring to the activities carried out in the field of cultural heritage, stated: the opening of the Millennium Arts Museum in one of Kish’s old and heritage buildings is among the important actions in this field and has provided the context for cultural use of this historic building.

He also referred to archaeological excavations in the historic city of Harireh and added: the activities carried out in Harireh are a valuable and unprecedented action and the results of these excavations can be effective in better understanding the history of Iran and the historical background of Kish Island.

The CEO of the Kish Free Zone Organization further referred to the organization's plan to revive historic buildings under the control of various agencies and said: after about a year of follow-up, the government agreed to the organization’s request regarding heritage buildings that are in the possession of some agencies but have remained unused and without operation.

He continued: based on this decision, charges will be determined for historic and heritage buildings in the possession of various agencies that remain unused, and the implementation of these charges will begin from Mehr 1405.

Kabiri stated that the purpose of this action is to create an incentive to revive historic buildings and added: we will try to restore palaces, old centers and other heritage buildings on the island that have the capacity for public use so that they are once again placed into the cycle of utilization.

He concluded by emphasizing: the revival of historic buildings can provide greater benefit for Kish residents and tourists from Kish’s cultural and historical capacities, and the Kish Free Zone Organization will pursue this matter seriously.
