TCL has unveiled two new smart glasses under the RayNeo brand that target two completely different groups of users. The RayNeo iO is designed for everyday use and as an AI assistant, while the RayNeo GT Max focuses on augmented reality experience, entertainment, and professional performance. Both models are set to launch on September 4.

According to ITNA quoting PhoneArena, these smart glasses do not attract a lot of attention. This model has no camera or speaker; therefore concerns about covert recording of images and sound are reduced, although that also limits its capabilities. The main strength of the iO is using artificial intelligence to record daily activities and remind users of tasks, appointments, and important conversations.

These glasses are also equipped with a simple display that shows information such as notifications, weather status, and the daily schedule. One of the most attractive features of the RayNeo iO is live translation; so when someone speaks in another language, the translated text appears on the glasses' display.

On the other hand, the RayNeo GT Max is a more powerful product for augmented reality and entertainment enthusiasts. These glasses can create a very large virtual display equivalent to 307 inches and, when connected to the RayNeo Pocket TV 2, support Dolby Vision. A perceived brightness of 1200 nits and an AI-based display engine also help improve image quality and stability.

The GT Max also has four speakers tuned in collaboration with Bang & Olufsen and offers a Whisper Mode to reduce sound leakage. The price of the RayNeo GT Max is $399, while the standard RayNeo GT model with a 231-inch virtual display is priced at $299. The price of the RayNeo iO has not yet been announced.

These products could make it easier for more users to enter the world of augmented reality glasses; especially the GT Max, which offers a combination of a large display, powerful sound, and smart features in the form of glasses.
