The rollout of Samsung’s One UI 9, after a slow and controversial start, has finally gained speed; however, not all users are satisfied with the company’s performance in delivering software updates.

According to ITNA quoting PhoneArena, this version, developed on Android 17, was first released as a beta for the Galaxy S26 family and then gradually made available to users as a stable release.

Samsung initially faced delays in releasing this update in markets such as the US, Europe, and parts of Asia. This even caused some of the announced schedules for the Galaxy S25 series, Galaxy Z Fold7, and Galaxy Z Flip7 not to be met. Nevertheless, the global rollout for these devices eventually began, followed by the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold6, Galaxy Z Flip6, and Galaxy A57; although the release of the new version for some models and regions has remained limited.

Results of PhoneArena’s polls show that the broader rollout of One UI 9 has somewhat increased user satisfaction. In the latest poll, nearly 23 percent of participants reported being fully satisfied and 23.61 percent were satisfied with the current process, though still expecting improvement. In contrast, about 30 percent remain dissatisfied or somewhat dissatisfied with the rollout.

To increase user satisfaction, Samsung needs to deliver this update faster to more devices, including the Galaxy A37, Galaxy Tab S11 tablets, Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Fold5, and Galaxy Z Flip5.

However, Samsung’s main problem is not only the speed of the rollout. One UI 9 is not a major advancement in terms of new features and noticeable visual changes. Even reports about an interim One UI 9.5 release have not yet generated much excitement among users. It seems that, in addition to speeding up the rollout, Samsung should focus on providing more practical features and more noticeable changes to truly improve the Galaxy phone user experience.
